Follow the conference in your language

Sessions are streamed with real-time interpretation in English, French and Swahili through Mateza Live. Everything you need is on this single page.

For delegates

Join in four steps

STEP 1
Open the link

Click the audience link shared by IUCEA. No account or organizer access is required.   https://live.mateza.rw/join/C73FB2EE

STEP 2
Enter your name

Type the name that should appear to the host and other participants.

STEP 3
Choose translation

Select English, French or Swahili for translated captions and audio.

STEP 4
Choose a voice

Pick the voice you prefer, then click Join event to enter the Main room.

Inside the live room

  • Read live captions
    Original speech and translated text appear in the captions area.
  • Request to speak
    Use Request to speak or Raise hand to get the host's attention.
  • Switch language or voice
    Change either at any time from the bottom control bar.
  • Leave
    Click Leave when you are finished with the session.

Troubleshooting

No microphone
Allow the site permission in your browser.
No audio
Check device volume, or follow the translated captions.
Wrong captions
Change the language from the bottom bar.
Link fails
Verify the joining code C73FB2EE.
Cannot speak
Raise a hand and wait for host approval.
Disconnected
Reconnect if the browser loses internet.

Organizer checklist

  1. Select the correct team, then Create event — a Main room is added automatically.
  2. Review the Main room: language, speaking access and join code C73FB2EE.
  3. Open Review & go live, confirm server readiness, then Go live.
  4. Turn on microphone in the control bar and allow the browser permission for live.mateza.rw.
  5. Set Spoken language and Translate captions to in Language settings.
  6. Use Share room to copy the audience link or the short code, and publish it behind a Join live meeting button.

Test the audience link in a private browser window before publishing it.
